Is this official Anthropic hardware?+
No. Vibe Desktop Buddy is designed, assembled, and sold by an independent maker. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic PBC. The firmware and BLE protocol are open source, published by Anthropic; we assemble the hardware, flash it, and ship it. If you have any question about an order placed here, contact us at hello@claude-desktop-buddy.com — Anthropic cannot help with orders from this site.
When will my unit ship?+
Estimated ship window: summer 2026 (approximately June – August). We will email you a tracking number the moment your unit leaves the assembly line.
What if I change my mind?+
No problem. Request a full refund any time before your unit ships and we will release the hold on your card. Once the unit is in transit, our standard 14-day return policy applies.
Do you ship worldwide?+
Yes — $15 flat for tracked worldwide shipping to most of North America, EU/UK, APAC, LATAM, the Middle East, and parts of Africa. We cannot ship to US-sanctioned jurisdictions (Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia, Belarus, Crimea/Donetsk/Luhansk).
Will I owe VAT / customs duty?+
Maybe. The $110 price does not include VAT/GST or import duties in your country. For most buyers in the EU/UK/AU the total duty + VAT works out to roughly 15–25% of the device value. We ship DDU (duty-unpaid) — your local carrier will contact you if anything is owed.
What does the Founders Edition include?+
The fully assembled device, a USB-C cable, founder code card, Founders member code, email support, and lifetime firmware updates. Firmware is also always free and open source on GitHub.
When will I receive my Founders number?+
Founders numbers are assigned when orders are being prepared for shipment, not immediately after payment. We will keep you updated by email as your order moves forward.
Is the device FCC / CE certified?+
Vibe Desktop Buddy is built on the M5StickS3 module manufactured by M5Stack, and is sold as a developer / maker accessory rather than a certified consumer electronics product. For the module's current regulatory markings and certificates, ask us at hello@claude-desktop-buddy.com before ordering and we will send M5Stack's documentation for the exact revision we ship.
