When will my unit ship?+
Estimated ship window: summer 2026 (approximately June – August). We will email you a tracking number the moment your unit leaves the assembly line.
What if I change my mind?+
No problem. Request a full refund any time before your unit ships and we will release the hold on your card. Once the unit is in transit, our standard 14-day return policy applies.
Do you ship worldwide?+
Yes — $15 flat for tracked worldwide shipping to most of North America, EU/UK, APAC, LATAM, the Middle East, and parts of Africa. We cannot ship to US-sanctioned jurisdictions (Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, Russia, Belarus, Crimea/Donetsk/Luhansk).
Will I owe VAT / customs duty?+
Maybe. The $99 price does not include VAT/GST or import duties in your country. For most buyers in the EU/UK/AU the total duty + VAT works out to roughly 15–25% of the device value. We ship DDU (duty-unpaid) — your local carrier will contact you if anything is owed.
Is this an Anthropic product?+
No. Claude Desktop Buddy is an independent community hardware project that uses the open-source BLE protocol published by Anthropic for maker devices. "Claude"™ is a trademark of Anthropic, PBC. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic.
What does the Founders Edition include?+
The fully assembled device, a USB-C cable, founders sticker pack, laser-engraved unit number, private Discord access, and lifetime firmware updates. Firmware is also always free and open source on GitHub.
Is the device FCC / CE certified?+
The underlying M5StickC Plus module carries FCC ID 2AAJX-M5STACK and CE marking from M5Stack. Claude Desktop Buddy is sold as a developer / maker accessory, not a consumer electronics product.
