Who we are

Vibe Desktop Buddy is an independent hardware project. This site sells a pre-assembled Bluetooth desk device. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic PBC; "Claude", "Claude Code", and "Anthropic" are trademarks of Anthropic, PBC, used here for identification purposes only. Anthropic has no access to any data collected by this site and cannot help with orders placed here.

This policy explains what we collect when you use claude-desktop-buddy.com.

What we collect

1. Waitlist email

   • What: the email address you submit to the waitlist form.
   • Why: to notify you when pre-orders open. Nothing else.

2. Order details

   • What: your name, email address, and shipping address, plus the items and amount of your order.
   • Why: to fulfil and ship your order, and to email you about its status.

3. Payment information

   • What: we do not receive or store your card number, CVC, or expiry date. Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. (and PayPal, where offered), who handle card data directly. We receive only a payment confirmation, the last four digits, and the billing country.
   • Why: to confirm payment and to process refunds.

4. Usage and device data

   • What: pages visited, referring site, approximate region, browser and device type, and similar analytics events.
   • Why: to understand which pages work and to measure advertising. This is collected via Google Analytics 4.

5. Cookies

   • What: cookies and similar storage set by us and by Google Analytics.
   • Why: to keep your session working and to attribute site visits. You can block cookies in your browser; the store will still function.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the processors needed to run the store:

• Stripe, Inc. and PayPal — payment processing.
• Google (Analytics / Ads) — site analytics and advertising measurement.
• Our email provider — order confirmation and shipping notification emails.
• Shipping carriers — to deliver your order.

We may also disclose information to comply with a legal obligation, or to protect our rights, property, or safety, or those of our users.

How long we keep it

Order records are retained for as long as needed to fulfil the order and to meet tax and accounting obligations. Waitlist emails are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and you can unsubscribe from our emails at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under the GDPR, UK GDPR, or CCPA. Email us and we will action the request.

Security

We use encryption in transit and access controls to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "updated" date.
